NHS interest

2. NHS fully funded continuing care (Gateway reference 2414)
The deadline for completing investigations that may lead to recompense for continuing care wrongly denied between 1996 - 2002 has been extended until the end of March 2004. However, where possible, all investigations should be completed by the original December deadline and the Department will examine the number of investigations completed and how many cases are still outstanding in each SHA before Christmas. This will ensure that allocation of resources reflects the need for recompense at a local level. Contact ian.bishop@doh.gsi.gov.uk
