2. Data Transfer Service (DTS) - Migration
The DTS is a new service being implemented by the NHSIA to manage electronic messaging. Messaging is currently handled by the X400 service, which will close on 7 November 2003. Message flows such as pathology and items of service must move to the DTS.

All NHS organisations must make preparations immediately to migrate their messaging. The first step you need to take is to ensure a contact person has been nominated (preferably from your IT department) for the migration process and inform Sarga Moore at sarga.moore@nhsia.nhs.uk

Information about the DTS Migration is at
http://nww.nhsia.nhs.uk/nhsnet/pages/emailmessaging/dts/default.asp
