The Department of Education and Skills is holding a national conference
on 27 January at the Business Design Centre, London. All chief executives
of councils with social services responsibilities and Area Child Protection

5. Regional roadshows (Gateway reference 2064)
The Health and Social Care Change Agent Team are running regional roadshows
called 'Making Reimbursement Work' and 'Brick in the Wall' on commissioning
services for older people and links to the Extra Care Housing event. All
events are free.

6. Primary and social care premises: planning and
design guidance (Gateway reference 1921).
NHS Estates and NatPaCT are launching new electronic guidance on the planning
and design of primary care premises to support NHS modernisation. The
web-based guidance will be updated to reflect the development of the NHS.

managers on the integration of mental health services (Gateway reference

The National Institute for Mental Health In England (NIMHE) and Association
of Directors for Social Services' (ADSS) has published best practice guidance
on the integration of health and social care mental health management.

9. Amendment to the Implementing System Reform in
the NHS Learning Events for Primary Care Trusts and Strategic Health Authorities
The invitations originally issued on 17 and 29 September stated that only
two delegates could be nominated from each organisation. Please note that
four delegates can now be nominated.
