The new National Clinical Assessment Authority is looking for someone at around 'Deputy director of finance' level in a Trust or HA who can lead the establishment of its financial framework on approximately a 6 month secondment, starting as soon as possible. The NCAA will provide a rapid and objective expert assessment, via local services, of an individual doctor's performance, recommending to the HA or Trust, educational or other approaches as appropriate. The postholder will help set up the new Authority's finance function and will help develop the finance and accounting procedures required by any new Special Health Authority. A person who is able to set up the information and IT infrastructure would be particularly valuable at this stage in the NCAA's start-up.
