  3. Survey of NHS childcare provisions
  4. As part of the NHS childcare strategy the Department of Health is conducting a scoping study to assess the level of childcare currently available at Trusts.   5. 'Positively Diverse' - National network manager
  6. A network manager is being recruited to support the further development and growth of the 'Positively Diverse' programme nationally. The role is full time for one year and will involve a great deal of travel. Application is by CV to include the names and addresses of two referees, one of which should be your present or most recent manager. The closing date for receipt of applications is Thursday 8 February 2001.

  7. Senior finance and information secondment opportunity
  8. The new National Clinical Assessment Authority is looking for someone at around 'Deputy director of finance' level in a Trust or HA who can lead the establishment of its financial framework on approximately a 6 month secondment, starting as soon as possible.

    The NCAA will provide a rapid and objective expert assessment, via local services, of an individual doctor's performance, recommending to the HA or Trust, educational or other approaches as appropriate.

    The postholder will help set up the new Authority's finance function and will help develop the finance and accounting procedures required by any new Special Health Authority. A person who is able to set up the information and IT infrastructure would be particularly valuable at this stage in the NCAA's start-up.

    The post will involve regular travel to London and Leeds with a degree of homeworking.

  9. National contract for recruitment, advertising and publicity

    Two events to launch the new contract to Trusts and Health Authorities will be taking place in the South west region at Lyngford House, Taunton on the 20 February and in the South east region at Rygate Manor Hotel, Surrey on the 23 February. A presentation will be given by Estelle Watts, Senior Buyer at NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency, on the background to the contract, what it covers, how it works and how to join.
